Brief info

With over two decades of international coaching experience, Ioannis Raptis brings elite knowledge and leadership to APOP Basketball. A graduate of the University of Northumbria (Sports & Exercise Science), he has served in top leagues across Greece, Cyprus, China, Lebanon, and Canada — including assistant roles with Doxa Lefkadas (Greece, 1st Division), Apollon Limassol (Cyprus, 1st Division), and the Lebanon Men’s National Team, where he helped the squad qualify for the 2010 FIBA World Championship.

His career highlights include:

Cyprus Super Cup & Cyprus Cup Winner with AEL Limassol (2009).

FIBA EuroChallenge Final Four appearance (2009).

NBL China regular season leader (2013/14) and Sichuan Provincial Championship winner with Fly Dragon BC.

Greek Cup and Championship Winner with Esperides BC (Women’s 1st Division).

Known for his tactical expertise, motivational leadership, and global coaching background, Coach Raptis has worked with athletes at every level, from youth to professionals. At APOP, he leads both the Men’s First Team and the U16 Boys Academy, bringing his passion for discipline, teamwork, and high performance to the next generation of players.
